K - FOR THE LIONHEARTED
In light of the trio's passion for preserving and innovating new techniques Konqistador have further extended the recording of their upcoming release 'Suada.'
"We've decided to take our time with this record. Every recording we've released in the past has been rushed due to tour schedules, deadlines or budget limitations. This time it's different. What we have here is truly special and I'm reveling in the synergy we have going right now. We've re-united on so many levels. Not just among ourselves but with our fans and supporters too. We're tapping back into why we started this project in the first place. We've grown, we've evolved, and for the first time we've set aside all other commitments - work, travel,performances have all been placed on hold. Because we can, because we wanted to and because it was necessary. Because it was integral to the fulfillment of this project - both for its creators and its listeners. And for this luxury we have a responsibility to ourselves and our supporters to deliver something groundbreaking. Something brave. Something beautiful. Something honest. It's incredibly refreshing to take your time and really put full focus into the process of recording. I've struggled with the concept of 'process' for years - I've always been a results oriented person. I hadn't ever placed great value on process like I've done for the writing and composing of this upcoming recording. The album that will be Suada will be nothing like we've ever released. The sounds will be brighter, more radiant, the techniques will be more organic, the message will be for the lionhearted. Suada is inspired and influenced by:
The Lion, the wolf, the courageous, the relentless sailor, the path maker, the survivor, those who ask questions, those who listen, those who embrace change, the humbled, the diligent, the resourceful, the minimalist, the hard worker, the inspired, the history makers, the future shakers, those who own up to their mistakes and those who carry on, the loyalists, the leaders, the revolutionaries, the goddess Sophia and the constellations."

K - EXTEND RECORDING
Konqistador have extended the recording of their upcoming release until January 31, 2009. Their return to the studio was inspired by the trio's passion and appreciation for traditional Arabesque music and their desire to integrate foreign sounds on their upcoming release 'Suada.'

K - ROMANIA’S UTV GOES BEHIND THE IRON K CURTAIN
Romania's UTV managed to lock down Konqistador for an up close and exclusive interview at this year's Stufstock6 Festival on the Black Sea coast of the Baltic region. UTV reporters unveiled the iron K curtain and got behind the scenes on the movements and makings of Konqistador.

K - CORE MEMBERS REJOIN TO WRITE NEW ALBUM 'SUADA'
Konqistador welcomes back D. Andruchow, the original co-founder and co-writer of the band's acclaimed debut release 'Courage Riot'. Having departed Konqistador to explore his own project (Helsinki Go), Andruchow has spent the last 2 years continuing to hone his craft and artistry in Detroit, USA. Preparation has commenced for the band's upcoming album 'Suada' and the re-uniting of K-core members promises a romantic epic of delicate sonic tapestries, emotive orchestrations and the original signature gutteral electro all K fans expect from the band.

Konqistador will perform this year's Stufstock Festival, August 14th, 2008. Stufstock is a rock music festival that
has taken place each year since 2003 in Vama Veche, Dobrogea, Romania, to protest against what some people may consider bad quality music (i.e. manele and Romanian pop music), and to call for the preservation of Vama Veche from the large scale development that has overtaken much of Romania's Black Sea coast. Festival line up to be announced, Stufstock has hosted The Dandy Warhols, Bloodhound Gang and more.
